Artist Biography

Born to Syrian parents, Zainab Elrahal grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, where her infatuation with ceramics began in high school. In 2022, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Ceramics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, with minors in Public Health and Art History. Elrahal has been included in significant group exhibitions and publications including the “3rd Annual Juried Sculpture Exhibition” at the In Art Gallery, "Internal Powers, External Forces” at Goodyear Arts in Charlotte, the fifth edition of New Visionary magazine, as well as others. She was also given a studio space at Goodyear Arts for 6 weeks in 2023 in which she explored painting as a new medium. She currently resides in Charlotte, NC, and is always looking for new creative opportunities. Elrahal creates work rooted in exploring internal experience and the ways in which the physical body and mind are interwoven.
